    Live Sessions has teamed up with The Great Escape Festival to provide the event’s unique registration system for unsolicited applications. If you’re applying to play at The Great Escape 2007, join Live Sessions and make sure you’re music is heard.

    The Great Escape Festival www.escapegreat.com is Europe’s most established showcase event for both new and signed artists and is THE place to get your music heard by both media and industry, as well as 5,000 punters!

    Live Sessions Competition ends

    Unsigned artists from around the UK registered on Live Sessions. The top 10 artists in the genres of 1. Rock/Metal, 2. Indie/Alternative and 3. Pop/urban/dance/other were short listed based on the number of track streams. Then a panel of judges selected three from each genre to go through to the final round. The Final took place on Nov 2 at the Barfly in London, the sell out show featured Indie band Boy Kill Boy. The winners of the night were, Johnny Panic, 3rd Day Syndrome and The Knock.

    Competition Extension

    Windows Live Sessions Announcement:

     The Live Sessions Competition has been extended to the 29th September.

     Yes, music fans due to your feedback we’ve extended the Live Sessions competition. Now’s the time to pull out all the stops, add your favourite music to your Space and get your friends listening, and if you haven’t entered yet, there’s now plenty of time get started. Remember the more people who listen to the music on your Space the better your chances at winning!

    Windows Live Sessions is now on Messenger!

    Windows Live Sessions is now featured on Messenger. Check out the tabs on the side for the Live Sessions Tab, each week three bands will be featured. With over 11M people in the UK use messenger, this adds up to great exposure for your band!

    Improve your chances of winning

    To help you tell your friends and fans that you have entered Live Sessions and get them listening to your music, we've made up a cool little banner for you. Spread the word by simply adding this to your Windows Live Space. Don't forget to add this to any other blog or website that you might be running.

    Remember the more people you have listening to your music the better your chances of winning! At this stage, it's all to play for!

    Add your Friends to your Space!

    Set-up your friends list.  Simply add the new Friends Module to your space, or click here to automatically add it to your space, and start inviting your friends.  Once your friends accept your invitation, they will appear to visitors of your space. There is also a cool new Friends Explorer feature that will allow you to easily navigate through lists of friends. 

    Here's how to add the friends module to your Windows Live Space:

    Login to your Windows Live Space.
    Click on Edit your Space if you're not already in Edit mode
    Click customize
    In the Modules tab, choose Friends, and click the Friends icon
    Close the Tab
    Now a Friends module will be added to your Space, click Save.
    Go to the module and click Add.
    You can either add friends by using their email address if you know this, or you can enter their Windows Live or MSN Space URL. 
    To add Live Sessions, add http://livesessions.spaces.live.com into the space for the URL.

    At any one time 24 friends appear on the list, each time the page is refreshed the friends you see will change.

    MSN Spaces has changed to Windows Live Spaces

     

     If you have an MSN Space it will automatically change to Window Live Spaces.

     

    The new look Windows Live Spaces lets you do all the same things you could do with MSN Spaces and more. You can now stay connected with your friends with the new Friend of Friends module. This allows you to add your friends to your friends list and be in touch with what’s going on their lives, and get alerts when they update their Spaces. 

     

    Who do your friends know? With the new Friends Explorer you can discover new friends, through friends of friends and build a broader social network!

    Podcasts updated by MSN Spaces Live Sessions

     

    You can now check out bands before they break via Podcast. The Inside Track weekly podcast is hosted by Marsha Chandur of Xfm.  www.insidetrackpodcast.com  The podcast is promoted accross 170 radio stations nationwide. Each week a Live Sessions Band features, next week it could be your band!

    Every week Live Sessions will feature an unsigned band who has registered. This band will also be on the MSN Homepage.  Increase your chances of being featured by ensuring your have info loaded on your Space. This could be your band’s background, photos and tour dates.

    Over 500 unsigned artists are now on Live Sessions

    So far over 500 unsigned artists have registered on MSN Spaces Live Sessions! If you’re an unsigned artist there’s still time to enter and be heard by up to 17M people, and of course win some cool prizes.
